Above the village of Notre-Dame-du-Pré, the Rocher du Glaisy campsite, nestled at an altitude of 1,550 m, is renowned for its natural and authentic setting at the foot of the Glaisy climbing site (220 routes ). It is about to be the subject of new arrangements.
From winter 2021, the Rocher du Glaisy campsite, in Notre-Dame-du-Pré, should welcome its first ecolodges (nine are planned). “It is an absolutely magical place, in the forest, with a view of Mont-Blanc, and we have, for the moment, a very rustic campsite,” explains Jocelyne Abondance, mayor of the town. The planned amenities, with more comfort, are more in line with today’s customers. As for the operator, he wants to make it a four-season campsite ” .
When it was taken over, the community of municipalities wanted to “promote it, upgrade it and make more use of it ,” says Fabrice Pannekoucke, president of Cœur de Tarentaise. We have initiated discussions, including the development of ecolodges, with wood pellet heating, built on piles with a spirit and values close to nature, while also maintaining a camping area surrounded by nature and a reception area. easy for the greatest number. We are therefore really in a glamping offer, with a real interest in well-being (Japanese bath and wooden sauna) and respect for the environment. This is a project for which there will not be a drop of concrete! “.
The site will be able to accommodate all types of stays, “as long as it is part of the values of respect for nature, the search for tranquility and sharing with the natural environment ,” adds Fabrice Pannekoucke. We have also worked on more structuring aspects around water and electricity, to provide service to the site and guarantee evacuation and safety ”. The catering offer will be based on local and seasonal products. With this project, the campsite will thus develop a new concept : “I don’t know of any similar project in Tarentaise” , concludes Fabrice Pannekoucke.
